Have to say that so far this umbrella exceeds most of my expectations. It's well-made, opens and closes smoothly, and the light feature is brilliant. My only issue is the flashlight thing at the end of the stick- the sensor that turns it on is SUPER sensitive. The light is CONSTANTLY turning on randomly, sometimes without even being touched, both while I'm carrying it and when it's just set down in the floorboard of my car while I'm driving around. It's running down the batteries very quickly. If there were an actual switch for that light, this would be an easy five-star review, but just thinking of how often I'll have to change the batteries to keep it glowing brightly takes away some enjoyment of it.Umbrella is light weight, and I fear wind stripping the runner from the center ball string. No top spring to lock the canopy open and no ferrule to lock the canopy onto the center ball string. Scared to use it in any wind…Plan on using it more in the winter months as an umbrella and light while walking to and from work on semi dark. Wish the umbrella came in a larger canopy size and not just single child size. Slight issue with base of handle light touch spot. Very sensitive!I was wanting a light up umbrella for nighttime as I love walking at night. I found this umbrella after quite a bit of research and loved the design and that it had multiple colors and with it having a flashlight in the bottom of it I thought it would be perfect. I love the multicolor light up function of the umbrella. The colors are pretty and bright and the umbrella also held up well when I was walking outside when it was very windy. The reason for the four stars is the mentioned flashlight in the bottom of the umbrella. It is EXTREMELY sensitive to the point where it has actually annoyed me. If I pick the umbrella up it will turn on. If water lands on the touch activated part of the light it will turn on. Anything sets this light off and it will lead to the batteries being drained quicker. If they could update the design so instead of touch activated it was also controlled with a button the same way the other lights are controlled that would be so much better. So, with all that being said when the light at the bottom is working with me instead of against me I love this umbrella and have even had people say the like it as well. So I would recommend it just be aware that the light on the bottom is going to be a little touchy.I love this umbrella, and the light works really well for visibility and being able to find my way. I love the flashlight on the end of the handle, but there's no on/off switch that I can find and it just sort of turns on when something passes under it. That means the flashlight randomly turns on and it can be tricky to get it to turn off because while just tapping it will turn it off, sometimes it'll just turn back on as you pull your hand away. (This could be a user error, but I've not been able to figure anything out myself.)The frame feels a little fragile and I'm afraid that it could break if dropped or mishandled, but it didn't break even under strong wind. Overall, I'd say it's great for what it is! It's stylish, fun, and great for people seeing you in the dark! Do keep in mind that the entire inside lights up so in the dark it could blind you a little at times. The LED is very bright, which is great for lighting your way, but not so great for the eye closest to it.I'm very pleased overall, and I'd buy it again.I’ve bought like three or four of these now to make parasols for festivals and this one was by far the most annoying because of the touch-sensitive flashlight. But as someone else said just pull the handle apart and clip the wire, works for me since I have no desire to use the flashlight part anyway. I also don’t like how with these clear umbrellas, no matter what brand you get, the tips of the ribs are barely connected to the canopy. I had to reinforce those eight points with epoxy before I started to build the rest of the umbrella. Overall not bad we’ll see how it holds up coming up in a few weeks.Was super excited for this to get here,I finally figured out how to put the battery pack in so that it lights up. I love it but I know it’s very cheaply made and fragile, I’ve read the earlier reviews saying that it doesn’t have a stopper to keep it from folding in on itself and can easily fall apart at the top for some time. The flashlight at the bottom also randomly turned off just by tapping it in a weird way. I’m not going to use this in anything but a very light drizzle, I’m not going to use this for more than fashion purposes basically, I recommend others do the sameLoving the rain…getting to use the umbrella. You can “scroll” through turning on and off to choose different colors, even choosing all the colors rotating. When it’s dark, flashlight on the bottom of the handle will help light the way.Now, the umbrella isn’t perfect. There are a few things I have issues with. The biggest is the switch for the flashlight. It is easily turned on, and if not noticed, can drain the batteries quickly. I wish it had a better switch.Not as big of an issue, but you have to open the umbrella manually. I wish you could open the umbrella with a button. It would have also been cool if the handle looked more like a lightsaber, but there are probably copyright issues with that.This was a gift and was well enjoyed, uses it everytime it rains, good quality, item under qarantee nice light systemThe light isn't quite as powerful as I was hoping that it would be, and the lack of a locking mechanism at the top is somewhat concerning when it comes to very strong winds, but it is hard to describe how utterly cool I felt whilst walking around with this switched on.Bought this as a birthday present for my 10 year old son who loves star wars. He loves it! Now finds any reason to go out in the rain. The only downside is that if he bangs it up against anything when down, the light comes on which means that the batteries wont last long.As this is a Christmas present it has not been used yet. However I have put the batteries in and it looks amazing. I think it is worth the moneyCame very well packaged, bought it for a friend's birthday and he absolutely loved it! Also was a right laugh trying it out at night down in central London!
